Analysis of Times, Places and Activities of Inter-networking in the Territory of the CSSS Lucille-Teasdale

The aim of this project is to better grasp the interconnections of various networks of partners working with individuals aged 75 and over, or who have a geriatric profile, in the territory of CSSS Lucille-Teasdale (now integrated into the CIUSSS de l'Est-de-l'Île-de-Montréal). The LSN was concerned about its capacity to reach vulnerable older persons in its territory, and to intensify its network activity with various partners. The same concern about increasing the social connections of individuals over 75 is central to the CSSS' action plan. The purpose of formulating a description of the times, places, and activities that promote an extension, or interconnection of these networks, is to develop a better understanding of the microsociological methods of mobilizing, activating, and coordinating networks. The project's scientific aim is to identify the conditions of an intervention aimed at intensifying relationships between inter-related networks in a territory. In terms of intervention, the conclusions of this research will enhance the capacity for collective intervention and enable the formulation of a strategy to intensify network operations, and, in so doing, reinforce their capacity to act on the extremely important social connection linking them to seniors.

  • Understand the interconnections of networks in the territory to increase collective intervention capacity
  • Develop a strategy to reinforce network interconnections and intensify the operations of active networks
